Preamble
Aranibar Backpackers Hostel is a family business, like its name says, we are the Aranibar family. It is located in 'San Juan de Lurigancho', the biggest city and cheapest place where to stay, eat and get fun, ideally for backpackers. It's near to supermarkets, restaurants, public transportation, nightclubs (within walking distance) and tourist attractions. It's near to the Historic Lima Downtown (15 minutes with taxi).
About the place
San Juan de Lurigancho (SJL) is not a luxury place like the famous Miraflores but it's a cheap city where to stay because all around SJL is cheap. Like in all places in the world, there are some places in the city that are not safe (late nights), but we are located near to a police station and we count with 5 taxi drivers that can pick you up from the airport or the place where you are and leave you in our hostel, they are part of our family business, and for sure the taxi service price is cheaper than taxi prices around Miraflores.
About the Hostel
We started this kind of business renting floors and rooms to local people but this idea of hostel service for backpackers launched because we had the experience to host backpackers in one room that was available inside our house and it was a great experience. We live in the first floor and the other floors we rent them to local people, but the 4th floor is a hostel for backpackers. Because it is in the 4th floor and it has a nice view of all the city.
Services
We offer a complete service like rooms, taxi, lunch/dinner, guided tours, and free services like laundry, WIFI, breakfast, use of macbook or PC, portable swimming pool.
